As the days grow shorter, a pleasant tranquillity descends on our Jogglanderhof. Whilst we look after our animals, prepare firewood and carry out odd jobs around the farm, nature reveals its quiet yet sunny side. Stuls is considered a real hidden gem in winter: thanks to its exceptionally sunny location, you can enjoy plenty of sunshine here – ideal for anyone seeking light, tranquillity and nature even during the colder months.

At our farm, you can experience authentic South Tyrolean farm life, snow-covered landscapes and a wide range of opportunities for winter sports and relaxation.

The Passeier Valley: a winter wonderland 

In winter, the Passeier Valley entices visitors with its unspoilt charm, snow-covered trails and routes suitable for beginners, families and experienced mountaineers. For a bit more variety, you can reach the spa town of Merano – home to the famous Merano Christmas market – quickly and easily by car or bus. With the free South Tyrol Guest Pass – Mobilcard, which you’ll receive from us on arrival, you can use all public transport and hiking buses in the valley conveniently and free of charge. The nearest bus stop is just a five-minute walk away, so you can enjoy your holiday without needing a car at all.

Ski holidays in Stuls

From Stuls, you can easily reach several ski resorts: Pfelders (15.5 km), Ratschings-Jaufen (31.5 km) and Meran 2000 (33.8 km), which offer everything beginners and experts could wish for. During the holiday periods (Christmas and Carnival), there is also a dedicated ski bus running from Stuls to the Pfelders ski resort. You can conveniently store your equipment in our lockable ski room, which is equipped with a ski boot dryer.

For our younger guests, the Sonnenpark Stuls – a lovingly designed ski and toboggan park for children – is located in the village centre, just a few minutes’ walk away. Whilst the little ones play, you can enjoy a warm drink in the soothing winter sunshine.

A peaceful winter holiday

The Passeier Valley is a paradise for snowshoe walkers and ski tourers. Countless routes run mainly along the southern side of the main Alpine ridge and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain peaks. Families, too, will find plenty to enjoy whilst winter walking in the Passeier Valley. Numerous groomed walking trails lead to mountain huts and alpine pastures, which invite you to stop for a bite to eat.

Off-piste activities

Winter in the Passeier Valley has so much more to offer. Whether it’s tobogganing from the Grünbodenhütte in the Pfelders ski area, ice skating at the natural ice rink in Pfelders or the St. Martin ice rink, cross-country skiing in Pfelders and Walten, or ice climbing at the ice climbing tower in Rabenstein – there’s definitely something for everyone here.
